Basilica of St. Josaphat

Milwaukee, WI

Uihlein/Wilson has been fortunate to work on the Basilica restoration for over a decade.

Phase I: Secure the Envelope, focusing on the exterior stone facades, recladding the cooper dome and releading the stain glass windows.

Phase II: Restore the Interior, addressing the interior of the main sanctuary, bringing the predella forward into the worship space. The interiors were magnificently restored through the joint effort of Conrad Schmitt Studios, Uihlein/Wilson and Brass Light Galleries.

Phase III: Perpetuate the Mission. The new Pope John Paul II Pavilion was designed as a seamless addition connected by a corridor to the upper and lower areas of the Basilica.

Completed in 1992-present.
